Hold onto your bookmarks—this isn’t your average book sale. The Friends of the New Milford Public Library are throwing their final Summer Book Sale before vanishing from the scene for at least two years, all because of major library construction.
Mark your calendars:
- Thursday, July 11: Early Bird Hour (9–10 a.m.) for $5 admission → then FREE from 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
- Friday, July 12: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Saturday, July 13: HALF-PRICE FINALE from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.!
Thousands of pre-loved books—mysteries, memoirs, sci-fi, kids’ titles, cookbooks, and more—will fill the halls of New Milford High School, all priced to fly off the tables. And with no sales happening in 2025 or 2026, this is your last shot to grab literary gold before the long silence.
The Friends aren’t just hinting—they’re shouting:
“Due to the library construction, this will be our LAST book sale for at least 2 years! Think ahead and STOCK up!!”
So whether you’re curating a cozy reading nook, outfitting a classroom, or just chasing that summer escape between pages, don’t wait. This is the literary event of the decade for local book lovers.
